Most free PDF and file tools online work the same way: you upload your file to their server, they process it, you download the result, and the file sits on their servers for anywhere from an hour to forever. For most files that's a fine trade for convenience. For some — contracts, medical records, financial statements — it isn't.

NotUploadTools does the same everyday tasks — merge, split, compress — but the processing happens on your device, in your browser, using the same web technology that lets games run in a browser tab. Nothing is uploaded because there's nothing to upload to: there is no server on the other end of these tools, just static code your browser runs locally.

The site is free to use, supported by ads. If you'd rather not see ads, a small monthly subscription turns them off — see pricing.

Roadmap

Image tools (compress, convert, remove background), a metadata/EXIF stripper for photos, and developer tools (JSON/CSV formatting) are next — all with the same no-upload guarantee.
