How to use this tool

Compress PDF reduces a PDF's file size by re-encoding the images inside it at a lower resolution and quality — the same thing that makes most PDFs large in the first place.

Select the PDF you want to shrink.
Move the quality slider — lower quality means a smaller file and softer images.
Click "Compress & download" and check the result at normal reading size before you send it anywhere.

A text-only PDF with no images won't shrink much, because there's nothing left to compress — the size was never in the text.
